Cardsmith

Cardsmith
Cardsmith is a tool I created to help speed up prototyping for card games. It allows you to use CSV data of cards to quickly generate individual as well as sheets of cards for each entry. It's built in Python and uses the Pillow package for image manipulation.
Tabletop Simulator is a tool to virtually simulate board games and be able to play them with friends. A prime motivation for Cardsmith was to help quickly generate cards to be import-ready for tabletop simulator, and indeed, this tool allows you to directly import the generated card sheet images to tabletop simulator.
While I developed Cardsmith on my own time, we did end up using it for a professional game project at work! The project unfortunately did not end up going into full production for external reasons, but I'm proud that my tool helped speed up the prototyping, especially when we were using tabletop simulator a lot for playtesting.
